Cool stuff Pete! I’ve not messed much with open chords, but can see how it can open up a whole lot of new things to explore.

Thanks for this introduction to the open G, Pete! (And what a sweet guitar… wow!) You can hear the Stones’, and Keef’s, tone and personality as soon as you hear the ring of the first notes. Most of the different tunings I’ve messed around with have generally been on acoustic guitars, where the drone of the open strings adds another dimension to rhythm strumming – but the possibilities for different tones offered by the open G seem worth pursuing, too!
